Finding items that are overdue

You can apply a due date for when you want a status to be completed for an item, for example if you want the Draft status to be completed by 5pm tomorrow. If the item's status hasn't been moved onto the next status before the due date passes, the item will become 'overdue'.

You can apply a due date to each status in your workflow from the status drop down in the top left of your item, or in bulk from the content hub.

When a project contains an item which is overdue, you'll be able to see this from the project dashboard. The project that contains an overdue item will have a red outline, and the name of the project will be red. You'll also see a notification in your project dashboard informing you of how many of your projects are overdue.

Once you've opened a project with overdue items, head to the content hub to get more information on the due date that has passed, and see which item it belongs to.

The overdue date will show in red on the content hub.

Why are items showing as 'overdue'?

If you have items in your project which show as 'overdue', it means that they're still at the workflow status which has the set due date. You'd need to move the item to the next workflow status to stop it from showing as overdue.

What about if your content is showing as overdue, but it's at the final status in your workflow, e.g. Live/Migrated to CMS?

In this case, we recommend adding a final status at the end of the workflow, e.g. 'Published', which has no due date. Then, you can move items to this status, to live on without an overdue tag.
